In 1939, the construction of a corner apartment building at 910 Mánesova Street was completed. The construction of the tenement house was carried out according to the approval decision between 25 October 1938 and 27 June 1939.
The house was built according to the designs of the Jan Mádlík – Jan Včelák construction company, which was located at 738 Jeronýmova Street, Hradec Králové. In the 1930s, the company had a number of contracts, mainly progressively designed tenement houses and public buildings, consisting of reinforced concrete and skeleton structures.
In the surviving plans, the tenement house was designed as a three-story building with a basement and a garden. The house was 16.80m long to Mánesova Street and 22.50 m to the park between the tenement houses.
In the basement there was a common drying and laundry room, private storage cubicles, a garage, a coal room, a boiler room, a separate toilet, and an apartment for the caretaker consisting of one kitchen and one room. The ground floor consisted of two larger apartment and one smaller apartment. The smaller apartment included a hall, kitchen, pantry, bathroom, separate toilet, two rooms and a balcony; the two larger apartments had one more room and a maid’s room. All the floors the same layout.
The façade of the house was designed in a purist way, with a flagpole at the very top. The entrance is tiled in a dark red color tone. In recent years, the façade has been insulated and the original wooden windows have also been replaced.
The building was constructed as a brick-lined reinforced concrete frame. The house had a staircase that was anchored into the walls and into the reinforced concrete parts of the house. It was equipped with a sewerage system, which led to the municipal sewer. The house was in use from 1 July 1939.
