Biography
Builder Josef Trnka was born into a family of crofters in Chodovice near Hořice. In 1900, he provably finished his studies at an unspecified, technical school. He acquired his license in 1919 and had a company named “Architekt a stavitel Josef Trnka v Jaroměři” (Architect and Builder Josef Trnka in Jaroměř; documented in 1925). In 1930–1933, he chaired the Chamber Union of Builders in Hradec Králové. In 1934, he cancelled his license for economic reasons, but he renewed later. In 1937, he moved to Hradec Králové. His licence expired in 1950.
